Melanie L. Delgado - Home Care Specialist

Melanie Delgado photo.jpg

As an Army brat living all over the world (her father a Vietnam Veteran, and, her mother a school teacher) Melanie was raised with strong family and Catholic values with her roots being in New Mexico.  Melanie and her husband Edward “Blue” Delgado moved to the San Diego area over 10 years ago.  For 25 years, Melanie had a career in Corporate America, but after retiring she wanted something more meaningful; one with a greater purpose that could make a difference in people’s lives.

For both Melanie and Edward, caregiving has been a constant in each of their lives. Through their catholic values to service those in need they found that operating an Adult/Elderly care business, Right at Home, was a natural fit. In their personal experiences, Melanie spent many years helping care for her Nana, and Edward has spent the better part of 10 years supporting and caring for his mother. Currently, both are overseeing the caregiving of Edward’s grandmother on hospice due to cancer and Melanie’s godfather/uncle currently in hospice due to Dementia.

Through these life experiences, Melanie has gained a deep understanding of the need for home care.  She is very passionate that families and their loved ones deserve the best quality care. The type of care that provides the upmost respect, the dignity, and the compassion that she expected for her Nana.  Melanie is dedicated to ensuring that her Right at Home team will provide that level of care to your loved ones.

Melanie recalls “my Nana was 80 when her legs were amputated, it’s impossible to teach an 80 year old to live independently in a wheel chair. I was so blessed to have such wonderful conversations and memories with my Nana during that time I was helping provide her care.”
